BIO

Brooklyn-based Control The Sound is a genre-bending funk group that made a name for themselves in the New York City music scene through their addictive, energetic performances. After nearly ten years together, singer/guitarist Elijah Frechtman, drummer Carter Nyhan and Audrey Frechtman on bass/vocals have fine tuned their sound into a unique blend of hip-hop, rock, jazz, and blues. The influences of The Roots, Kendrick Lamar, Stevie Wonder, Childish Gambino and more can clearly be heard in their music. Never afraid to explore new sounds or tap into different genres, no one else sounds anything like Control the Sound.
