Brooklyn-based Control The Sound is a genre-bending funk group that made a name for themselves in the New York City music scene through their addictive, energetic performances. After nearly ten years together, singer/guitarist Elijah Frechtman, drummer Carter Nyhan and Audrey Frechtman on bass/vocals have fine tuned their sound into a unique blend of hip-hop, rock, jazz, and blues. The influences of The Roots, Kendrick Lamar, Stevie Wonder, Childish Gambino and more can clearly be heard in their music.
